Oyster-Adams Bilingual School
Julian Pineda has been part of the DC Public Schools community for more than six years, serving a highly effective assistant principal and teacher at Wilson High School. He has more than 15 years in education in different roles ranging from assistant principal, teacher, coordinator, department chair, teacher trainer, curriculum writer, professional development designer, and facilitator. Several of these roles were even in different countries and school settings.
While at Wilson, he supported increasing its graduation rates for the last three consecutive years, reducing the opportunity gap, and increasing the schoolwide in-seat attendance. Mr. Pineda’s first language is Spanish, and he is proficient in intermediate French and basic Japanese. Mr. Pineda holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, with an emphasis in teaching, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
