Dwan Anthony Jordon is a proud Washingtonian and graduate of DC Public Schools. Dwan earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Shaw University (Raleigh, NC) and received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Trinity Washington University (Washington, DC). Dwan has worked as a basketball coach, classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Head of Schools, School Leader Support and Advisor, Director of Strategic Projects, and Director of School Research and Design.
Mr. Jordon has received the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Emerging Leader Award, served on the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Principal’s Center Advisory Board for seven years, and served on the District of Columbia State Board of Education High School Graduation Requirements Task Force and Mayor Gray's Transition Team when he was elected. He has served as a member and facilitator of the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Principals Center National Institute for Urban School Leaders.
